Broken Smoothie :(

Ugh a failure and a waste of food. We all hate it when it happens and yet we try to salvage the pieces. This morning I went to make a fruit smoothie for Jon and I because it was about time we both had a boost of fruit in our diets and we could definitely use the vitamins we get from a finished product. I have no pictures but I thought to share how I make my smoothies 2 different ways in the morning. NOW THAT MY BLENDER IS BROKEN (stupid clear plastic that keeps the blades in place broke while pureeing and everything instantly seeped through to the motor lol, need to see if the local Kitchen Store holds a replacement top because the clunky part of it is fine.)

Today was a citrus based smoothie.
1 cup of OJ
handfull of frozen peaches
handful of frozen mangoes
handfull of frozen raspberries picked in the summer that I froze also

Blend that baby up and if you notice that it isnt blending smoothly add more oj until it just keeps spinning your smoothie.

Berry and calcium/potassium smoothie (personal favorite)
Frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries mangoes and blackberries.
room temp half of a banana
6-8oz vanilla yogurt you could use a flavored if you want
1/4 c milk (feel free to sub with almond or rice milk I have done it before and it worked fine but if it use these two don't add a banana it creates a strange taste.)

Sorry about no pictures guys! I was getting my camera for a picture of a finished smoothie when it went nuts and I panicked trying to get it into the sink before I created a mess in my freshly cleaned (it took 1 1/2 hours for an APARTMENT kitchen WTH.)

I hope those of you who got snow like we did (5 inches) I hope you are all safe and haven't gotten into any car accidents! Time to leave for work~! School has inservice tomorrow so we basically only had 3 days of school this week >< so much catching up to do!
